Understanding EV Auxiliary Motors | New Training Module

Auxiliary motors in ICE vehicles refer to those that have historically been driven via a belt or hydraulic system.

However, since battery electric vehicles don’t have a combustion engine, these traditional auxiliary systems need to be converted to an electric drive alternative.

In the latest addition to our EV Traction & Auxiliary Motors course, you will learn about electric coolant pumps, steering motors, air conditioning compressors and integrated brake systems, and discover how their auxiliary motors have been designed to operate in these environments.

This module will be the latest addition to our growing library of over 350 technical training videos, covering the following key areas:

Electrical   |   Engine   |   Chassis   |   Drivetrain   |   Driver Assist
HVAC   |   Diagnostics   |   Servicing   |   Hybrid & Electric Vehicles
